August is here, and it is almost time to release the results of the Cambridge June 2011 exam series. Best wishes to all your learners waiting for results.

Every year, thousands of Cambridge learners worldwide progress to US universities. In this issue we report on a meeting we held recently with US university admissions staff (pictured right). They gave excellent feedback on Cambridge qualifications. Read the full story below.

We interviewed representatives from leading US universities recently, including Duke, MIT and Michigan, to ask what qualities they look for in applicants. They told us they value the skills, knowledge and attributes of Cambridge learners. That is why 100% of Ivy League universities recognise Cambridge International A Levels. Learn more.

Cambridge school network expands in Asia Pacific

Now we are in the process of opening an office in Singapore to increase our support for schools in the region. Learn more.


Results of June 2011 exam series 

We will publish the provisional results of the Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge O Level and Cambridge International AS and A Level June 2011 exam series on CIE Direct on 10 August at 23.01 UTC. Schools can issue these results to candidates immediately.

Cambridge Pre-U results will be published on CIE Direct on 17 August 2011. Results must not be given to candidates until 18 August 2011.


Develop your skills with ECIS International Teacher Certificate

ECIS InstituteTeachers from more than 12 countries attended the International Teacher Certificate institute held at our Cambridge office in July 2011. The International Teacher Certificate is provided by the European Council of International Schools and assessed by Cambridge. It is one of the professional development courses we recommend to Cambridge teachers, in addition to our range of Cambridge Professional Development qualifications. Learn more.

Cambridge online training courses start soon

There is still time to register for a wide range of self-study and tutor-led Cambridge online training courses, starting in September 2011. We are also offering a new Introduction to Cambridge Primary online course which is free for Cambridge Primary schools – and an Introduction to Cambridge Secondary 1 is coming soon. New online resource for Cambridge maths teachers
